Jason and Roberta were both a pro athletes on the Bodyboarding World Tour. Jason was a North Shore Oahu lifeguard for over 15 years and Beta, his wife a environmental scientist. 

After spending 25 years in Hawaii Jason and his family moved back to New Jersey, his place of birth to raise their children. With many things that they loved about Hawaii not in their lives they wanted to bring something back to the Jersey Shore. Bringing traditional Shave Ice to the Jersey shore has helped keep them connected to their families Hawaii roots and the fun of the North Shore.

Slinging ice has its first location in Manasquan, New Jersey, and multiple pop-ups. We will be open at The Famous Stone pony summer stage and other partners.

Slinging ice is looking to expand rapidly in existing footprints, and bring Shave Ice throughout New York, and New Jersey and the east coast.
